What is Asthma?
Asthma is a common lung condition that causes occasional breathing difficulties.
It affects people of all ages and often starts in childhood, although it can also develop for the first time in adults.
There’s currently no cure, but there are simple treatments that can help keep the symptoms under control so it doesn’t have a big impact on your life.
Symptoms
The main symptoms of asthma are:

Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you feel your heart is beating faster or stronger than usual (palpitations). This is usually harmless, and usually stops after you have used the medicine for a while. You may feel your heartbeat is uneven or it gives an extra beat, these may affect up to 1 in 10 people.
Tell your doctor if you have any of the following side effects which may also happen with this medicine:

This is not a complete list of possible side effects. If you have to use this product in combination with another medication, or if you have any existing heart problems, the side effects listed below may become more common.
If you use this type of medication in combination with Ventolin Evohaler, it will more likely cause a side effect known as inhalation aerosolation or acute bronchospasm. The name side effect is a brand name, not a side effect.
Take Ventolin HFA as advised by your doctor. Swallow the inhaler with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the inhaler. Do not mix the dose of Ventolin HFA with a high-fat meal or as many as prescribed by your doctor.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is the time to take the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next one at the usual time. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose. Do not take a three-dose plan to make up for the missed dose.

Do not take Ventolin HFA if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ventolin HFA is excreted in the body and passes through your lungs when you are pregnant. Ventolin HFA inhalers are used for the treatment of bronchospasm in infants and adults. You must continue to take Ventolin HFA even if you feel better.
